Aakash Chopra has given 5 suggestions regarding IPL. The suggestions given by Aakash Chopra can take the level of this league to a higher level. Apart from this, excitement can be created, because till now the system of bonus points is not there in any league.
Former Indian cricketer and current cricket expert Aakash Chopra has given 5 suggestions regarding Indian Premier League i.e. IPL. Aakash Chopra believes that if these suggestions are followed then IPL can become even more interesting. The former Indian cricketer has talked about many suggestions including bonus points to injury replacement. With the introduction of these rules, IPL will become even more interesting. Know about those suggestions, about which Aakash Chopra claims that with their introduction, the swag of IPL will change.
Number 1: Bonus Point
Aakash Chopra's first suggestion for IPL is that the team should get bonus points. He has told that if there is a margin of 20 percent in victory, that team should get bonus points, even if you do not cause any harm to the losing team. For example, he said that if a team scores 200 runs and restricts the opposing team to 160 runs, then in this case bonus points should be given. Secondly, if a team achieves the target of 200 runs in 16 overs, then bonus points should be given in this case, which will make the game even more exciting.
Number 2: Injury Replacement
Regarding the second suggestion, the former cricketer said that till now there is a rule of concussion substitute, but I want that the rule of injury replacement should also be implemented. If someone gets a fracture in his hand or leg or someone gets a cut, then in that case injury replacement should be given. We have started its trial in domestic cricket on the advice of ICC. We can do the same in IPL as well.
Number 3: Mid-season transfer
Cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra said about the third suggestion that there is a rule in IPL, which is never implemented. That is mid-season transfer, because here no one has a problem with money. That is why the franchise keeps every player in the team, whether he gets a chance in the playing eleven or final 16 or not. Aakash Chopra wants that just like we play 14 league matches now and if you have not kept a player in the final 16 (playing eleven and 5 substitutes) even once in the first 8 matches, then he should be made available in the mid-season transfer window, because this can improve the dynamics of a team.
Number 4: Leg side wide rule
Aakash Chopra's next suggestion was that why not make a rule for leg side wide in IPL like Tamil Nadu Premier League i.e. TNPL. A little margin should be kept for the bowler, because for now a ball a little away from the leg stumps is considered wide. He also admitted that this game is side on, that is why the rule was made, but it is not that that ball cannot be played. Therefore, another line should be made that the ball outside this line will be wide, because sometimes the ball swings and goes to the leg side.
Number 5: Power Surge Rule
Former Test cricketer Aakash Chopra wants that like Big Bash League, Power Surge Rule should be implemented in IPL, it will make the game more interesting. In BBL, the first 4 overs are of powerplay and after that after the 11th over, you can play 2 overs as power surge, where again there will be field restrictions. There runs can be made and wickets can also fall, because the batsmen have to hit.
