The Indian team has registered a thumping 9-wicket win against UAE in the T20 Asia Cup 2025. India easily achieved the target of 58 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India hoisted the victory flag with 93 balls to spare and created history. This is India's biggest win in terms of balls remaining in T20. India's previous record was to register a win with 81 balls to spare (against Scotland in 2021). Abhishek Sharma played an innings of 30 runs in 16 balls, which included two fours and three sixes. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 20 off 9 balls. Two fours and a six came off his bat. Captain Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 7 runs.

Earlier, India won the toss and chose to bowl and gave a very big blow to UAE. India bowled out UAE for just 57 runs in 13.1 overs. This is UAE's lowest score in T20 International cricket. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav and all-rounder Shivam Dubey wreaked havoc. Kuldeep took four wickets for 7 runs in 2.1 overs. Shivam took three wickets after conceding four runs in 2 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel and Varun Chakraborty took one wicket each.

The UAE team, who came out to bat first, added 26 runs without losing a wicket. After this, the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc. UAE lost 10 wickets for just 31 runs. Alishan Sharafu (22) scored the most runs for UAE. Captain Muhammad Wasim scored 19 runs. Eight UAE players, including wicketkeeper Rahul Chopra (3) and Harshit Kaushik (2), did not reach double figures. Kuldeep took three wickets in the ninth over, which broke the back of UAE. India is the defending champion of Asia Cup. India has won the most number of titles in Asia Cup history, eight.
