Fast bowler Simarjeet Singh, who was a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024, did not have a good time and was badly beaten. But still he was sold the most expensive in the DPL 2025 auction. He proved it right and bowled consistently well throughout the season and he continued the same feat in Qualifier-1 as well. Pacer Simarjeet, who played an important role in the success of Central Delhi Kings this season, made it difficult for the East Delhi batsmen to stay on the pitch in this match played on Friday, 29 August.

This match was affected by rain at Arun Jaitley Stadium, due to which it had to be reduced to just 15-15 overs. In such circumstances, Central Delhi got the opportunity to bowl first and its bowlers took full advantage of it. In the second over itself, Simarjeet sent both openers Hardik Sharma and Arpit Rana back to the pavilion. Both of them could not even open their account. After this, this pacer sent East Delhi captain Anuj Rawat back to the pavilion, who was playing a fighting innings for the team.

His next victim was explosive batsman Mayank Rawat, who hit a six as soon as he came. Simarjeet completed his 5 wickets by dismissing Navdeep Saini. In this way, he took 5 wickets for 23 runs in 3 overs and played a big role in bowling out East Delhi for just 88 runs. His bowling partner Mani Grewal also wreaked havoc. His first two overs were maiden and he also took 1 wicket, due to which East Delhi lost 3 wickets for just 6 runs. Grewal took 2 wickets for 7 runs in 3 overs.
