DPL 2025: West Delhi Lions' third consecutive match was washed out due to rain, yet got this good news

DPL 2025: West Delhi Lions' third consecutive match was washed away by rain, but the good thing is that the team captained by Nitish Rana has still made it to the playoffs, as the team has 11 points in its account.

DPL 2025: Like last season, this time too rain remains the villain in Delhi Premier League i.e. DPL. One team has lost three consecutive matches to rain, but the good thing is that the team has still managed to qualify for the playoffs. However, the team will not be able to play Qualifier 1, as the team does not have that many points in its account, but the team will definitely play at least the Eliminator. This team is none other than West Delhi Lions captained by Nitish Rana.

West Delhi Lions were to play their last league match on Tuesday 26 August. The team had 10 points in its account before this and the team was looking forward to qualifying for the playoffs by reaching 12 points. Although, Indradev did not let the match start, but the good thing was that the West Delhi team still got a ticket to the playoffs, because now no more than four teams will be able to get 11 points. In case the match is cancelled, both the teams will get one point each and thus West Delhi will get 11 and will make it to the top 4.

This match of West Delhi Lions was against Outer Delhi Warriors, which was already out of the playoff race. The Outer Delhi team got only 6 points in its 10 matches. Two matches of the team were washed out due to rain, while the team could win only in two matches. Outer Delhi lost 6 matches in its first season. Old Delhi 6 is also out of the playoff race. Three teams are still fighting for one place, which include the names of South Delhi Superstars, North Delhi Strikers and New Delhi Tigers.
