Indian team's star batsman Virat Kohli has started preparations in London for the ODI series to be held in October. He was seen practicing at Lord's for the ODI series against Australia. Kohli has been on a break since the conclusion of the Indian Premier League 2025, he has retired from Tests and ODIs. Kohli and Rohit will now be seen playing only in the ODI format.

Despite being away from the game, Virat Kohli is keeping himself ready for international cricket and is focusing on practice. After practicing at Lord's, he also met with the fans and got photographed.

After the proposed Bangladesh tour in August was canceled, India's next ODI will be in the three-match series to be played in Australia from October 19 to 25. Rohit and Kohli, however, have not played any competitive cricket after the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Kohli and Rohit have a combined 83 centuries and more than 25,000 runs in ODIs. There is a discussion in Indian cricket that by the ODI World Cup in October 2027, Rohit will be 40 and Kohli will be 39 years old. In such a situation, will these two legends be able to survive till then.

The three-match ODI series between India and Australia will start in Perth from October 19. Amid speculations about the ODI future of veteran Indian players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the Board of Control for Cricket in India is in no hurry to take any decision. The BCCI never takes a decision in haste and considering the large fan base of the two players, it always tries to test the sentiments of the people before taking any sensitive decision.
