We've always seen the Indian cricket team in blue jerseys in limited-overs cricket, but the BCCI has taken a historic step by changing the jersey color for the India Women vs Australia Women third ODI. This decision was taken to promote breast cancer awareness.
The BCCI shared this information on XX. This is the first time in Indian cricket history that the jersey color has been completely changed. During the 2019 World Cup, India wore an orange jersey, but it had a blue front. This time, the jersey color has been completely pink. However, the jersey color change is only for one match.
The BCCI posted on XX, "Team India will wear a special pink jersey in the third ODI today to promote breast cancer awareness."

India isn't the first country to do this. Every year, Australia holds a major annual breast cancer awareness campaign during the New Year's Day Test in Sydney, known as the "Pink Test." Held at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), the match is lit up in pink to honor Jane McGrath (the late wife of legendary Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath) and raise funds and awareness for the McGrath Foundation.
This event has become a significant part of Cricket Australia's domestic calendar, and its partnership with the McGrath Foundation supports those affected by breast cancer.
The match is being played between India and Australia. Australia won the first ODI by 8 wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India bounced back in the second ODI, defeating Australia by 108 runs.
With an eye on the upcoming World Cup, India will be looking to end this series on a winning note.
