Suryakumar Yadav showed a big heart, called back UAE batsman Junaid even after he was out

Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav on Wednesday showed sportsmanship by withdrawing the appeal of batsman Junaid Siddiqui being given out. His decision is being praised. However, Junaid could not take advantage and returned to the pavilion on the next ball.

Indian bowlers on Wednesday defeated the UAE team in the second match of Asia Cup 2025. The UAE team could not even play the full over. UAE could score only 57 runs after losing all the wickets in 13.1 overs in the match being played at Dubai International Stadium. Kuldeep Yadav and Shivam Dubey did not even give the UAE batsmen a chance to stay. The UAE team had started well but could not stand for long against the Indian bowlers. During the match, captain Suryakumar Yadav set an example of sportsmanship. Seeing which everyone is praising him.

This incident happened in the 13th over of UAE's innings. Junaid Siddiqui pulled the third ball of Shivam Dubey's over but there was no contact between the ball and the bat. However, before that, bowler Shivam Dubey's towel fell just before the umpire, which distracted the batsman. After the ball was completed, Junaid told the umpire and the bowler about it, but by then Sanju Samson, standing behind the wicket, stumped him out. When the umpire checked, Junaid was standing outside the crease and was pointing at the towel.

The umpire had given Junaid Siddiqui out but Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav withdrew the appeal. Because he felt that the UAE batsman was distracted due to the falling towel and due to this he remained out on the crease. The umpire agreed with Suryakumar and gave the UAE batsman not out. Suryakumar's sportsmanship is being praised. However, Junaid could not take advantage of the opportunity he got and was caught out while trying to play a big shot on the very next ball. Suryakumar Yadav caught his catch. Junaid Siddiqui could not open the account.

India bowled out the United Arab Emirates for 57 runs in 13.1 overs in a Group A match of the Asia Cup T20 cricket tournament. For the UAE, only Alishan Sharafu (22 runs) and Mohammad Wasim (19 runs) could reach double figures. Kuldeep Yadav took four wickets for seven runs in 2.1 overs, while Shivam Dubey took three wickets for four runs in two overs.
