After this, the committee chairman Sanjay Patil went to Shardul Thakur with the offer of captaincy of the team, which he said yes to."

According to the report, before the selection of the Asia Cup 2025 team, Shreyas Iyer was also training with Praveen Amre. But, when his name did not come in the team, he was very disappointed. Shreyas Iyer's performance in the T20 format has been completely ignored by the Indian team management.

The Duleep Trophy 2025 is starting from August 28. This tournament will be played till September 15. Shreyas Iyer will be seen playing for the West Zone team in this tournament.
