IND vs PAK: Pakistan cancels press conference, adds motivational speaker to squad ahead of India match

Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan has once again canceled its press conference before the Super Four match against India in the Asia Cup 2025. The team is using a motivational speaker for the purpose.

Pakistan Cancels Pre-Match Press Conference: Pakistan's antics seem to be unstoppable after the no-handshake incident. After canceling the press conference before the league match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Pakistan has repeated the same behavior before the Super Four match against India. Reports suggest that the press conference scheduled for the ICC Academy has been canceled. Meanwhile, reports are circulating that the Pakistan team is using a motivational speaker for the match against Team India.

Pakistan's second such action

This is the second time the Pakistan team has canceled its press conference in the Asia Cup 2025. Previously, it had done so before the match against the UAE. Now, it has surprised everyone by repeating the same behavior before the Super Four match against India.

Meanwhile, reports are emerging that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited motivational speaker Dr. Raheel to boost the players' morale ahead of the crucial match against India on September 21st. Following their crushing defeat to India in the league match, the team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, defeated them by seven wickets.

Pakistan is furious over the no-handshake issue.

Pakistan's troubles further worsened when the Indian team decided not to shake hands with the Pakistan team in the Asia Cup due to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The Pakistani team did not like this move and has been continuously taking action.

During this period, the PCB also accused match referee Andy Pycroft of not taking action against Team India. They threatened to withdraw from the tournament if their demands were not met and delayed the start of their third group match against the UAE. Although the PCB agreed to play in the tournament after a meeting with Andy Pycroft, the controversy didn't end there. The ICC sent a stern email to the PCB for videotaping and releasing the meeting with Pycroft online in the Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA).

Pakistani Team Under Pressure

In response to this email, the PCB stated that this was within ICC protocol. This off-field drama has further increased the pressure on the Pakistan team. The team, captained by Salman Agha, will need to perform well against the Indian team in the next match. Meanwhile, Andy Pycroft will once again act as match referee in this high-voltage match.
