What is the salary of Nepal's cricketers?

The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) gives central contract to its players every year and they get salary according to their different grades. Nepal Cricket Association had given central contract to a total of 33 male players earlier this year. CAN has divided its male cricketers into four grades (A, B, C, D) and one emerging category. Players in Grade A get 1,00,000 Nepalese Rupees (62,572 Indian Rupees) every month. Players in Grade B are paid 75,000 NPR (46,929 Indian Rupees) every month. The salary of a Grade C player is 55,000 NPR (34414 Indian Rupees) every month. Players in Grade D are paid 35,000 NPR (21900 Indian Rupees) every month. On the other hand, players in the emerging category are also paid 25,000 NPR (15,642 Indian Rupees) every month.

These players have central contract

Earlier this year, Nepal Cricket Association had given place to captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Dipendra Singh Airee, Sompal Kami, Sandeep Lamichhane and Asif Sheikh in Grade A. Whereas, Kushal Bhurtel, Karan KC, Gulshan Jha, Lalit Rajbanshi and Anil Shah were placed in Grade B. Sandeep Jora, Arif Sheikh, Bhim Sarki and Kushal Malla were part of Grade C. Apart from these, Sagar Dhakal, Lokesh Bahadur Bam, Sahab Alam, Akash Chand, Bibek Kumar Yadav, Surya Tamang, Rijan Dhakal, Dev Khanal, Bashir Ahmed, Pratish GC, Avinash Bohra and Mayan Yadav are included in Grade D. Dipesh Prasad Kandel, Rupesh Kumar Singh, Subha Kansakar, Arjun Kumal, Santosh Yadav, Arjun Gharti and Hemant Dhami are named in the emerging category.

Nepal Cricket Association also gives central contract to its women players. Women players are also placed in different grades. Players in Grade A get 50,000 Nepalese rupees every month. Grade B players get 35,000 Nepalese rupees. Grade C players are paid 20,000 Nepalese rupees every month.
