Afghanistan team extended a helping hand to earthquake victims, donated the entire match fee

The Afghanistan cricket team has extended a helping hand to the people affected by the huge loss caused by the earthquake in the country and this tragedy. The players of Afghanistan have donated their entire match fee.

All the players of the Afghanistan cricket team have come forward to help the families affected by the huge devastation caused by the earthquake in their country. During the T20 tri-series match going on in the UAE, the Afghanistan team prayed for the safety of the people affected by the earthquake. During this, the players have announced that they will donate the match fee for the match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Along with the entire match fee, the players have also helped their people personally. The players of Afghanistan and UAE also observed a moment of silence before the match to pay tribute to the people who lost their lives in this tragedy.

The 6.0 magnitude earthquake that struck late on September 1 shook eastern Afghanistan, killing more than 800 people in Kunar and surrounding provinces. Apart from this, more than 2,800 people have also been injured in this tragedy. The survivors are struggling amid destroyed houses and lack of relief material. Many countries including India have come forward to help Afghanistan. Governments of other countries are also providing food items as well as medical facilities.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board said in its statement, "Afghan Atalan (Afghanistan Cricket Team) shows solidarity with the victims of the Kunar earthquake! The Afghanistan team has pledged to donate its entire match fee and additional donations for the match against the UAE on Tuesday night to help the families affected by the recent earthquake in Kunar province. In addition, players involved in the ongoing regional List A tournament in Khost province will also collect their donations tomorrow. These contributions will be sent immediately to help the affected families in Kunar in this difficult time."
